A Letter from Sunyoung

Portrait of Sunyoung
Not to do less, but to do it better.

My name is Sunyoung, and I've been grooming dogs in the Niagara region for over a decade.

In that time, I've had the privilege of caring for many dogs from their first puppy cut through their senior years. The trust that takes—from both the dog and the person who loves them—is something I've never taken lightly.

For a long time, I ran a high-volume practice. I was good at it, and I loved the work so deeply. But eventually I found myself wanting to slow down. Not to do less, but to do it better. That shift meant working with fewer clients, building longer relationships, and giving every appointment the time and attention it actually deserves.

That's the practice I run now. I work with clients who are committed to their dog's consistent care and who want a groomer who will remember their dog's history, temperament, and preferences. Not just their breed.

If that's what you're looking for, I'd love to meet your dog.

Warm regards, Sunyoung thegroomer.ca

Care first, cut second.

I've spent 14 years refining my approach to small breed grooming and scissor work in the Niagara Region. I've cared for over a thousand dogs, many of them for their entire lives.

My practice is intentionally small. I work with one dog at a time, so your dog has my full attention from start to finish. While I care about the cut itself, what matters most is whether your dog leaves calmer and more comfortable than when they first arrived.
